Hypocrisy Takes the Place of Piety

The personification of Hypocrisy (Hipocrisis) has now taken the place of Piety. As an attribute, she carries a turd in a silver dish. A monkey sits on her shoulder as a symbol of deceit. In the background, a wolf in sheep's clothing disguises a false prophet as a priest (right). The man has goat's feet. On the left, a scholar is forced to drink something.
