About this work

Amor begs Jupiter for mercy for the princess Psyche. To the right, Amor is in the arms of Jupiter, next to them the eagle and thunderbolt. On the left, Mercury, holding a caduceus, to whom Jupiter had ordered to bring Psyche to heaven. Italian text in two cartouches in the lower margin. Numbered twice in the lower left: 29.
