About this work

Amor begs Jupiter for mercy for the king's daughter Psyche. On the right, Amor in the arms of Jupiter, next to them the eagle and thunderbolt. On the left, Mercury, with a caduceus in his hand, to whom Jupiter had ordered to bring Psyche to heaven. Italian text in two cartouches in the lower margin. Numbered bottom left: 29 (twice).
