About this work

Queen Jezebel sends letters in the name of King Ahab to the elders and dignitaries in Naboth's city. She asks them to proclaim a fast day, accuse Naboth of blasphemy and treason, and have him stoned. Scribes sit at a table writing the letters. Jezebel puts the royal seal under the letters. Below the representation a verse in Latin.
