Silver Century

The print refers to the mythologically inspired idea that during the Silver Age humans had to deal with the seasons. They now had to cultivate the land, seek shelter in houses and protect themselves from the cold. Also, for the first time, the seven liberal arts were practiced. The print is part of a series on the four ages.
