About this work

In the time when this series was created, 'cripple' was a generic word to describe a physical limitation of the lower body. This series is intended as social satire. A man and a woman, dressed as citizens, walk side by side. The man walks with crutches and the woman leans on one crutch, while holding the man's sleeve.
