Salt production in Zeeland according to the so-called darinkdelven method, ca. 1600. Digging the darink from the land, drying and burning it to ash, transport by boat to the salt pans, mixing with seawater and boiling to white salt. After an old painting in Zierikzee. In the margin a three-line caption in Dutch.
