Two women walking along the waterfront, with a fisherman in front of a house in the background. Left: Japanese-style dress of pékin, faille, black/white satin, cream-colored lace and black velvet. In hand a walking stick that can also be used as a parasol. Right: Japanese-style dress of yellow and purple pékin, purple faille and ribbon of gold-yellow satin. The fabrics are from Maison Le Houssel. Below the image, several lines of advertising text for various products. Print from the fashion magazine Revue de la Mode (1872-1913).
