About this work
King Hezekiah orders the springs and irrigation channels outside Jerusalem to be closed, so that Sennacherib and his army will not have an abundance of water during the siege of Jerusalem. In the background, the walls of Jerusalem are being reinforced and provided with towers. Below the image, a reference in Latin to the biblical text in 2 Chronicles 32.
