About this work

The people stream out of the city to welcome the Ark of the Covenant, which stands on a raised platform outside the city. Men are about to sacrifice a calf. A second calf is led to the place of sacrifice. Illustration of the Biblical text 1 Samuel 6:14-15. Below the image the title in Hebrew, English, German, Latin, French, and Dutch.
