Mattathias kills a Jew who, according to the king's order, wanted to bring a sacrifice on the altar in Modeïn and the king's envoy. Thus he showed his devotion to the law of God. Below the image a reference in Latin to the Bible text in 1 Macc. 2:14. Print is part of an album.
