About this work

The Virgin Mary is crowned in heaven by the Trinity. Christ and God the Father place the crown on her head. The image is framed by a border of beads. In each corner a medallion with scenes of the prophets, the apostles, the martyrs, and the Church Fathers. In the cartouche below, the Adoration of Mary and the Christ Child by St. Catherine, St. Agnes, and other saints.
