About this work

The female personification of Divine Grace (Gratia) crowns a naked kneeling boy. On her lap lies the book with the seven seals. To the left in the background Christ as the Fountain of Life (Fons Vitae), in a basin with his arm around the cross. In the margin a four-line inscription in Dutch, Latin and French.
