About this work

Portrait of Wilhelm Egon von Fürstenberg-Heiligenberg. He wears the Order of the Holy Spirit on his chest. His portrait is framed with laurel branches. On the scroll below, a four-line inscription with his name and titles in Latin. Below that a drapery with his coat of arms and an empty frame. On either side various coats of arms of German nobles. At the top the crowned Mary, with the Christ child on her lap, on the clouds. They are accompanied by angels and various male saints.
