About this work
The family of Charles Primrose tries to pretend because daughter Olivia is the object of Squire Thornhill's interest. It is decided to go to church on horseback instead of on foot. However, the old horse has too little strength to carry all family members. Mr. Burchell comes to the rescue and succeeds in getting the stubborn horse in motion. Numbered top right: 2.
