About this work

Left: Alexander and Gotthard take leave because they have enrolled at the university of Königsberg. Right: Mine is on the way to Mitau, fleeing from baron Von Eckhowen who wants to abduct her. In fright she leans against a tree when she recognizes the baron in the rider approaching her. To her relief he is followed by a carriage with his fiancée.
