Saint Apollonia, Saint William of Aquitaine, Saint Scholastica, Saint Saturninus (9-11 February)

Sheet with four oval images, each with inscription and date in Latin: top left Saint Apollonia whose teeth are pulled out by an executioner, top right Saint William of Aquitaine in chainmail, bottom left Saint Scholastica standing before a monastery, bottom right Saint Saturninus with a book. This print is part of a series of prints depicting the saints and the Christian feast days of the year. Four scenes from one plate are always printed on one sheet. Including the corresponding title page and frontispiece, there are in total 124 plates (490 scenes). The three plates with the last 12 scenes (the moveable Christian feast days) are cut in the third state into 12 small plates, and issued with a separate title page.
