Saint Meliton, Saint Firminus, Saint Gregory I the Great, Saint Euphrasia of Constantinople (11-13 March)

Sheet with four oval scenes, each with inscription and date in Latin: top left Saint Melito carrying a child on his back, top right Saint Firminus with a staff and a book in his hands, bottom left Pope Saint Gregory the Great seeing an angel at the Angel Castle in Rome, bottom right Saint Euphrasia already trampling a demon or devil while praying. This print is part of a series of prints depicting the saints and the Christian feast days of the year. Four scenes from one plate are always printed on one sheet. Including the corresponding title page and frontispiece, there are in total 124 plates (490 scenes). The three plates with the last 12 scenes (the moveable Christian feast days) were cut in the third state into 12 small prints, and issued with a separate title page.
