Sheet with four oval scenes, each with inscription and date in Latin: bottom left Saint Barnabas being stoned, bottom right Saint Onyphrius the Great as a hermit in the wilderness, top left Saint Anthony of Padua with a flower in one hand and a book with the Christ Child on the other hand, top right Saint Basil the Great as a bishop being handed a pen. This print is part of a series of prints depicting the saints and the Christian feast days of the year. Four scenes from one plate are always printed on one sheet. Including the corresponding title page and frontispiece, there are in total 124 plates (490 scenes). The three plates with the last 12 scenes (the moveable Christian feast days) were cut in the third state into 12 small prints, and issued with a separate title page.
