Sheet with four oval scenes, each with inscription and date in Latin: top left Saint Germanus of Paris receiving a key from Peter, top right Saint Maximinus of Trier as a bishop in conversation with another saint, bottom left Saint Eumelia of Neocaesarea in a forest, bottom right Saint Petronella of Rome receiving a host from a cleric. This print is part of a series of prints depicting the saints and the Christian feast days of the year. Four scenes from one plate are always printed on one sheet. Including the corresponding title page and frontispiece, there are in total 124 plates (490 scenes). The three plates with the last 12 scenes (the moveable Christian feast days) were cut in the third state into 12 small prints, and issued with a separate title page.
