Sheet with four oval scenes, each with inscription and date in Latin: top left Mary ascending to heaven above the apostles who stand around her empty tomb, top right Saint Roch dressed as a pilgrim, bottom left Judas Thaddeus holding up the mandylion to King Abgar of Edessa, bottom right Saint Clare of Montefalco dressed as a nun with a staff. This print is part of a series of prints depicting the saints and the Christian feast days of the year. Four scenes from one plate are printed on each sheet. Including the corresponding title page and frontispiece, the series comprises 124 plates (490 depictions). The three plates with the last 12 scenes (the moveable Christian feast days) were cut down in the third state to 12 small prints and issued with a separate title page.
