Sheet with four oval scenes, each with inscription and date in Latin: top left Mary and Joseph at the stable with the ox and the donkey, top right Saint Nemesius of Alexandria on the pyre, bottom left Saint Philogonius of Antioch dressed as a lawyer, bottom right apostle Thomas holding a spear in his hand. This print is part of a series of prints depicting the saints and the Christian feast days of the year. Four scenes from one plate are printed on each sheet. Including the corresponding title page and frontispiece, the series comprises 124 plates (490 scenes). The three plates with the last 12 scenes (the moveable Christian feast days) were cut down in the third state to 12 small prints, and issued with a separate title page.
