About this work

A Stairway of Old Age: a spiral staircase. On the steps, shaped like a bridge, stand men and women aged from 0 to 100 years. Below the bridge is a depiction of the Last Judgment. A curtain is on either side of the scene. Above the image is a verse in three columns, below the image is a verse in four columns. Numbered top right: No. 21.
