About this work
A ladder of old age: a male ladder. On the steps of the ladder, in the form of a bridge, stand men aged from 0 to 100 years. Below the bridge a depiction of the Last Judgment. In the front left a putto and in the front right Death. On both sides of the depiction a tree. Below the depiction a 24-line verse in six columns. Cartouches with text at the top left and right and in the center below. Numbered bottom left: 28.
