About this work

In an interior silkworms are spread out by many women; placed on shelves and hung on branches. In the middle the worms are examined by two women. On the left a view into a second room where cloths are hanging to dry. At the bottom two lines in Latin. Fourth print from a series of six prints on the introduction of the silkworm and silk production in Europe.
