About this work

The Pope confers his position and title upon the bishop, an example from the ecclesiastical hierarchy. The Pope and bishop are surrounded by a group of clergy while they look out. In the distance lies the city where the bishop will receive his see. Book illustration in a rectangular frame with fine ornaments. The print is printed with multiple woodblocks. At the top of the sheet stands the half-title of the publication: und Antichristi, at the bottom of the sheet stands the word Antichristus.
