About this work
Abraham sits with his wife Sarah at the table, to the left stands Hagar with a tray. Sarah angrily strikes at Abraham's first son Ishmael who runs to his mother Hagar in fright. Isaac sits crying against his mother's leg. The print is part of a seven-part series with scenes from the Book of Genesis.
