About this work

Saint Willibrord as Archbishop of Utrecht, standing clad in chasuble and bishop's mitre on his head. At his feet a spring springs forth and wine casks stand beside him. In his hand he holds a church model of the Dom in Utrecht. In the lower margin a pilgrimage and locations are mentioned where the saint is commemorated on 7 November. These are indicated in the landscape: pilgrims visit the place where the chapel for Our Lady of the Need in Heiloo stood and also Willibrord was venerated and the places Saint Willibrord and Bethlehem.
