About this work

Fame blows the trumpet while Victoria Maria de' Medici is crowned with laurel. The princess sits triumphantly on her horse with a command staff in her hand. The personification of Liberality brings her jewels. In the background, the capture of Jülich by Prince Maurice and the Prince of Anhalt on 2 September 1610.
