Monument commemorating the folly of the year 1720. On a large wagon driven by a jester, Fortune scatters shares of stocks. The cart is pulled by, among others, personifications of the South Sea and Mississippi companies. The wagon is led by Fame towards the poorhouse and madhouse. Around the cart, merchants and victims. On the right in the background, the Quincampoix coffee house. At the bottom, the emblem with the motto 'Illusion Deceives' in Latin. In the inscription, the explanation of the representation in French and Dutch. Print 27 (late impression of no. 18) in the series The Great Mirror of Folly with satirical prints on the Wind Trade or Stock Trade of 1720.
