About this work
Sheet with three representations of customs around Whitsun and Epiphany. Above: on Whitsun in Schermerhorn a girl (the Whitsun Flower or Whitsun Bride) is carried around by four other girls. Bottom left: in The Hague on Whitsun girls decorated with flowers go from door to door to collect money. Bottom right: on Epiphany Eve in Amsterdam people go singing from door to door with the star of the three kings.
