About this work
Vignette with the portrait of the personified Vice surrounded by snakes and thorny branches, atop the architectural frame stands a skull. Vice has devil's ears and holds a branch with thorns. With her right foot she tramples on two stone tablets on which the Ten Commandments are written. The print is part of a series of book illustrations on virtues and vices.
