About this work

The personification of Justice (Justitia) sits on a lion holding a scale and a sword. Her right foot rests on a coat of arms with the image of two crowned fish, her left foot tramples Deceit to the ground. In the background, putti fly with a sieve. To the left and right of Justice stand columns connected by a rope to which putti hang various coats of arms.
