Allegory on the Destruction of Jerusalem

A Jewish woman is chained to a tree and surrounded by attributes from the destroyed temples of Jerusalem. She sits on a dead priest, in front of her lies a naked woman whose body is pierced with a dagger. In the sky two angels fly in, one with an olive branch and one clad in armor and holding a lightning bolt in his hands. In the heavens Justitia sits enthroned with a scale and a scepter with the All-Seeing Eye. On the left is the Ark of the Covenant, in the distance a view of the burning city.
