About this work
A soldier, full-length, facing right, holding a musket (a certain type of firearm) with his left hand, the barrel pointing upwards, before transferring the weapon to his right hand. In his left hand, besides the musket, a lit match; on his left wrist, a fork (musket fork). This print is part of the series of 43 numbered prints of musketeers from the Wapenhandelinghe.
