Salt mining in Zeeland according to the so-called darinkdelven, ca. 1600. Digging the darink out of the land, drying and burning to ash, transport by boat to the salt kettle, mixing with seawater and boiling to white salt. After an old painting in Zierikzee. In the margin, a three-line inscription in Dutch.
