About this work

Herod and Herodias stand behind a set table under a canopy. Salome stands on the other side of the table. Hovering near her head is a little devil with a bellows. Behind them stands a servant before a loggia with trumpeters. Below the image is a three-line Latin text describing the scene from Mark 6.
