About this work

Two epitaphs. On the left, a pediment in sarcophagus form above a relief depicting a praying knight. On the right, a pediment in the form of a sarcophagus above a plate with an inscription, flanked by Fides and Spes. On the sarcophagus stands Caritas. Part of a series consisting of a title page, a text page, and 14 sheets with grotesques featuring strapwork, satyrs, garlands, trophies, animals, and fantasy creatures.
