About this work
Two epitaphs. On the left a sarcophagus on a plinth above a plate with inscription. On the sarcophagus two cherubs and a medallion with a representation of Christ among angels. On the right a headpiece in the form of a sarcophagus, carried by two caryatids on either side of a plate with inscription. On the sarcophagus an aedicula with a representation of Christ with a cross among angels on clouds. No. 16 from the series: title page, text page and 14 sheets with grotesques with scrollwork, satyrs, garlands, trophies, animals and fantasy creatures.
