About this work
On the way to Damascus, Saul is struck by a beam of light from the sky. In the background he is thrown from his horse by the beam of light and lies on the ground. Soldiers stand around him in panic. Subsequently the blind Saul is escorted by soldiers to Damascus, where he converts to Christianity and assumes the name Paul. The print has a Latin inscription and is part of a 34-part series with the subject the Acts of the Apostles.
