About this work
Saint Livinus is attacked by pagans who pull out his tongue with pincers. A man with the pincers gives Livinus's tongue to his dog. Angels bring a laurel wreath and a martyr's palm from heaven for Livinus. Two larger angels drive away the ruffians with lightning bolts.
