About this work

Peace of Breda, 31 July 1667, which ended the Second Anglo-Dutch War. Central depiction of the swearing of the peace treaty, surrounded by six smaller scenes of events preceding and following the ceremony. Above and below, the arrival and departure of the English ambassadors. On the sides, the proclamation and celebration of the peace. Some texts added in handwriting above and below.
