About this work

Front of the triumphal arch of the Mint, erected at the beginning of the Sint-Michielsstraat or Kloosterstraat. Arch in the shape of Mount Potosí in Bolivia or Peru, where Spain won much silver. Atop the mountain, Jason and the Golden Fleece. In the middle, the goddess of money Moneta. Marked top left: pag. 151. Plate no. 35 in a set of 43 plates illustrating the publication describing the entry of Cardinal-Infant Ferdinand of Austria into Antwerp on 17 April 1635 as the new Governor-General of the Spanish Netherlands.
