About this work

Christ and two apostles sit around a table in an inn. Christ breaks the bread and thus reveals his identity. The apostles react in shock. Above the table, a parrot. In the background, a landscape and a bat flying through the air. In the margin, a Bible quote from Luke 24 in Latin.
