About this work

The winged Aurora, the personification of dawn in the clouds. She drives away the night. On her head, a star. Below her, a morning landscape with hunters on the road. On the left in the background, fishermen at sea. In the margin, a Latin subtitle with an explanation of the dawn. The print is part of a four-part series on the parts of the day and the human activities carried out during that part of the day.
