About this work

The personification of Justice, with the scales in her hand, and the personification of Abundance, with the cornucopia, stand next to a pillar with on top the coat of arms with the lion of the evangelist Mark. This is possibly the coat of arms of Venice. Abundance holds a chain to which a defeated soldier is attached.
