About this work

Allegorical monument for the Mennonites (Mennonites or Anabaptists). Open temple with centrally a representation in which adults are baptized in the Mennonite Church Bij 't Lam (on the Singel in Amsterdam). On the walls of the temple section four scenes from the New Testament. On the outside two medallions with services at the Mennonite church. At the top in the open dome a portrait of founder Menno Simons carried by putti.
