Judgment of Count William III. The judgment of Count William the Good regarding the Bailiff of South Holland. The Count points with his scepter while lying in his sickbed. The bailiff is receiving absolution from a priest, behind him the executioner draws his sword. The farmer kneels by the bed. The room is filled with various officials and onlookers. On the wall a tapestry depicting the scene in which the bailiff steals the farmer's cow.
