About this work
Christ at the sheepfold as the Good Shepherd, ca. 1560. Christ standing in the door to the sheepfold with a lamb on his shoulders. Thieves try to break in through the side walls and roof to steal sheep. In the background, a shepherd drives a wolf away from his flock. With a caption of 2 times 2 lines in Dutch and a reference to John 10. Satirical print on the Roman Catholic Church, theme ca. 1560.
