Nightly crossing of Spanish soldiers from Saint-Philipsland through the water to the island of Duiveland, 28 September 1575. In the foreground stand Requesens on Tholen and a Jesuit blessing the departing soldiers; in the distance the island of Duiveland and Zierikzee. Bottom right a cartouche with the title and legend A-I in Spanish. Top right marked: 377.
